WEATHERNEWS WARMS UP FOR SPRING WEATHER WITH CLOSE-UP VIEWS OF PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUMS

San Francisco, CA, (April 01, 2005) – Weathernews Inc., the leading provider of wireless weather forecasts and information, is re-launching its popular Stadium Weather service so customers can prepare for baseball games and tailgate parties with views of stadiums around the country.

Just in time for the start of regular season play, Weathernews once again lets baseball fans view skyline photos and obtain weather forecasts needed to prepare for a home game. The service takes to the mound on Opening Day 2005, as the Red Sox face off against the Yankees once again.

Don’t get caught unaware when temperamental weather conditions crop up on the way to the game! Weathernews delivers up-to-the-minute visual forecasts and weather information right to subscribers’ mobile phones.

To celebrate the opening of the spring 2005 sports season, Weathernews will upload rendered photographs of local stadiums and current sky conditions. For about $3.00 per month, the service saves customers from spending their money on last-minute weather gear instead of peanuts and hot dogs.

“While it is spring on the calendar, winter conditions are still evident in some areas of the country even as other parts ramp up for summer,” said Richard O’Connell, Weathernews’ Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. “The Stadium Weather service offered by Weathernews is a fun way to help sports fans prepare for game days and avoid weather surprises.”
