Weathernews is pleased to announce that we will hold our “Total Fleet Management Service Seminar in London 2009” at Grange St. Paul’s Hotel, in London on the 24th of September, 2009.
One of the issues that the shipping industry is faced with is creating a higher level of voyage management, which allows not only safety and economy, but also reduces the burden on the environment. In addition, there is also a call for the development of a total "Supply Chain Management" that aims at the optimization of Cargo Handling and Receiving Schedule, arrival times and cargo handling schedules to reduce demurrage, and also the optimization of logistics warehousing operations as well.
In order to achieve the "Best Yield," the optimization of safety, economy and environmental issues, operations based in Visibility, Transparency and Mutual Trust are absolutely imperative.
One of the purposes of this Seminar is to aim for these goals, through sharing these issues with the entire shipping industry, propagating the groundwork for a global agreement, and finally developing it as a global standard.
To pursue the Best Yield, we invite everyone to use our 2009 TFMS Seminar as a place to exchange information and ideas. To elaborate on this we have Mr. Jonathan Young as our keynote speaker to present “Some Practical Aspects of Performance _ Slow Steaming”.
Together we can achieve the “Best Yield” so that neither Safety nor Cost Management have to be sacrificed to realize effective emission control.
